12.00pm Arrival and Welcome
12.15pm Welcome and presentation commence
The first of a series of events, we will be hosting several Brexit discussions in conjunction with Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce throughout 2019.
With a little over a month to go until Brexit what are we expecting the wider ramifications on our financial markets to be? Could this be the biggest gamble the UK faces over the last 50 years?
Designed to be a collaborative conversation for members, we have several different speakers lined up to hold this vital conversation:
Alex Barnes, St. James's Place Wealth Management and Diane O’Connor, St. James's Place Wealth Management.
Alex and Diane will focus primarily on the financial markets. They will be giving commentary on U.K. share prices, bond markets, property, currency and oil. They will also add context via commentary on US markets at present and further afield.
Neil Ashbridge, Chamber of Commerce
Neil will briefly touch on the Political vs the Economic implications of the UK leaving the European Union and then go on to explore the Global Economic Outlook and the likely impact on the UK.
Nigel Wilcock, the appointed Brexit consultant to the LEP
Nigel will be talking about a range of different points including research on manufacturing sectors in the UK under 5 Brexit scenarios – and what it could mean for the LCR.
If you wish to attend this event you will also need to bring along a client/guest who is not in the PBS sector.
